History of Romantic Poetry in Urdu

Urdu poetry has a rich history back to the 13th century, but it was in the 18th century that romantic poetry. This time of significant cultural and artistic development in India and Pakistan supply the perfect environment for romantic poetry to develop. Some of the noblest poets of this time were Mir Taqi Mir, Mirza Ghalib, and Meer Dard. These poets are about the beauty of nature, the strength of love, and the pain of heartbreak, among other things.
